Who I Am

One of the biggest joys in my life is having the privilege of getting to know my clients and helping them access their full potentials to get through difficult times. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have been providing therapy services for the past 7 years at different non-profit agencies and through private practice in the St. Louis metro area. Additionally, I have a background with behavioral health research and instructing future social workers and therapists in their internships/practicum. Those who chose to work with me find that I’m committed to forming a strong and caring therapeutic alliance, that your goals will always be my priority in treatment, and that I am genuine and straight-forward in my approach. I’m here to be your biggest ally!

What I Do

I believe in the importance of getting to know ourselves to our best ability, as this is key in overcoming life’s obstacles and healing from past and present pain. Because of this, I provide a thorough assessment to help discover the root of the problem. I will not only help with finding solutions for coping with whatever brought you in, but also assisting you with finding solutions for lasting healing when the problem has been persistent in your life. As a trauma-informed therapist, I am sensitive to the role trauma may have had that is influencing you today and am committed to helping you find freedom from its influence.

My specialty areas of practice are helping teen and adults who have experienced abuse and neglect (physical and emotional), domestic/intimate partner violence survivors, sexual assault/rape survivors, those struggling with grief and loss, and women with sexual function issues due to emotional disturbances or physical pain. Additionally, I treat depressive disorders, anxiety disorders and phobias, and dissociative disorders. I assist couples who are struggling due to a partner experiencing any of these issues, or because of changes that have occurred within the relationship that have now caused difficulty in connecting or have put the relationship at a crossroads.

How I Do It

To help you on your healing journey, I use an eclectic blend of compassion-centered, evidence-based therapy to best suit your specific needs, goals, and personality. Because you are unique and your concerns are important to me, we will create a treatment plan together that works for you and all your goals. The therapy I provide is respectful of your experiences based on gender, race, ethnicity, age, religious background, sexual/gender identification, and ability status.
